Earthquake In Md:(Washington Post) — U.S. Geological Survey at magnitude 3.6 earthquakecentered Montgomery County at 5:04 am Friday. The epicenter was in Gaithersburg near I-270 and Route 124 (39 145 ° N, 77 222 ° W), the USGS said in a preliminary finding. Its depth was 3.1 miles.

A woman has been charged with drunken driving after police said she caused several crashes while driving the wrong way over seven miles on two highways in Maryland. Police said 21-year-old Amanda Tyerar was spotted driving south in the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 15 and Interstate 270 at about 2 a.m. Thursday.
